Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Her father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix had an early aptitude for athletics when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting ability at the moment. Just 10 weeks after her initial tryout, she placed third in the 200-meter race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she attended at the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics held at Athens Greece. She broke an Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. In 2005, she was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters during the Helsinki World Championships. She defended this title in 2007 beating her former Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix always placed in the top 3 across her diverse events in the Olympics held during Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
